Our Mission

The Surgery and Sports Medicine Club at OU-HCOM is committed to giving first and second-year medical students insight into the various surgical and sports medicine specialties. 我们的使命是通过从全州引进专家来教育我们的会员。 SSM应遵守所有大学和HCOM（传统骨科医学学院）的政策和程序。

Services Provided

SSM offers the service of its members to the OU club hockey team throughout the season at each of their home games, shadowing and assisting their team physician, Dr. Black.  SSM also occasionally provides volunteers to the First Aid tent at Ohio University football home games throughout the fall semester.  In April, SSM members act as volunteer first aid station workers at the Athens Marathon, providing first aid assistance at a multitude of stations throughout the marathon's course.
