Critical infrastructure is at risk from cyber threats, and Ohio University is taking a strategic role in addressing these challenges. The School of Communication is establishing a Virtual Industrial Control Systems (ICS) Laboratory designed to simulate complex industrial environments such as water distribution systems, gas pipelines, cryogenic gas operations, and mid-stream oil terminal operations. These at-scale simulations provide advanced capabilities for both research and education, enabling in-depth analysis of industrial processes and cybersecurity vulnerabilities.
The virtual labs will enhance the university’s ability to contribute to innovative research while providing hands-on training to the next generation of cybersecurity professionals.
Below is a list of Virtual Industrial controls systems Dr. Das developed when he was a research assistant at the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
