
Vinton Cerf

温顿·瑟夫被公认为互联网的创始人之一。 Working for the Department of Defense’s Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) from 1972 to 1982, he, along with Robert Kahn, invented the TCP protocol, which continues to serve as the foundation of Internet communication.

Dr. Cerf’s accomplishments are many. While working for MCI, he was the leading engineer in the creation of MCI Mail, the first commercial email service connected to the Internet. Dr. Cerf is currently the “Chief Technology Evangelist” at Google.
Professor Trevor Roycroft presented the Strowger Award to Dr. Cerf in 2001 during Communication Week.
